Terms and Conditions

All bookings for Norwich Cricket Centre facilities or coaching must be made using the appropriate online booking process.

The person making the booking must be aged 18 or over and will be considered the Customer. Where a booking is made on behalf of a club, company or other organisation, that organisation must be named during the booking process and will also be considered the Customer.

Bookings can be made online throughout the year. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. Payment is made securely by card, and a confirmation email will be sent with details of the booking, including dates, times and, where applicable, coaching course details.

Norwich Cricket Centre reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking or application to use its facilities or attend a coaching course.

Cancellations of facility hire, coaching or other booked activities must be made by telephone or email to hello@norwichcricketcentre.co.uk.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the activity start time are non-refundable and no credit will be issued. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a credit note only; no monetary refund will be given.

Facility hire time includes all preparation and clear-up time.

The facilities must be fully vacated by the agreed end time. Norwich Cricket Centre reserves the right to make an additional charge where use continues beyond the booked period.

The Hirer must use the Centre only for the purpose stated in the booking confirmation.

Clubs, schools, universities, companies, associations and other organisations must provide evidence of valid Public Liability Insurance with minimum cover of £5,000,000 before hire begins.

Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in use of the facilities being refused.

Reasonable care must be taken to protect the buildings, playing surfaces, fixtures and equipment from damage.

The Hirer agrees to reimburse Norwich Cricket Centre for reasonable costs incurred in cleaning, repairing, making good or replacing any part of the buildings, facilities or contents lost, damaged or destroyed as a result of the Hirer’s use.

The Hirer must not alter the buildings or fittings, attach anything to them or install equipment or decorations without prior permission from Norwich Cricket Centre.

The Customer is responsible for the conduct and appropriate supervision of everyone included in their booking.

The Customer is also responsible for ensuring that all participants under 18 use appropriate protective equipment. Under-18s must wear a suitable cricket helmet when using the net facilities with hard cricket balls.

Norwich Cricket Centre will not be responsible for injury arising from inadequate supervision or failure to use appropriate protective equipment, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

The maximum capacity of each net lane is 6 people.

With prior agreement from the Norwich Cricket Centre Manager, up to 8 people may be permitted in a lane at the Centre’s discretion.

The maximum capacity of the arena is 24 people.

Hirers are responsible for ensuring that these limits are observed.

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that everyone using the facilities is suitably dressed for the activity.

Appropriate sports clothing and non-marking sports footwear must be worn. Footwear that has been worn outside, or which is likely to dirty, damage or mark the playing surface, must not be worn.

Spiked footwear is prohibited.

Norwich Cricket Centre staff reserve the right to decide whether clothing or footwear is suitable for use within the facilities.

Anyone wishing to operate a Norwich Cricket Centre bowling machine must first receive appropriate instruction from Norwich Cricket Centre staff.

Bowling machines may only be operated by persons aged 18 or over. Participants under 18 must be supervised by an appropriately trained adult.

It is the Hirer’s responsibility to request training from a member of staff before using a bowling machine where required. Norwich Cricket Centre reserves the right to refuse use of a bowling machine where it considers this necessary for safety reasons.

Where a bowling machine is hired with 24 balls, all balls must be returned at the end of the session. A charge of £5 will be made for each missing ball.

Food must not be consumed in the net lanes or playing arena.

Only suitable plastic sports bottles are permitted within the playing areas and net lanes.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within Norwich Cricket Centre premises.

CCTV and other video recording systems operate within Norwich Cricket Centre for security, safety and the protection of customers, staff, property and facilities.

Video cameras may also be used within the net lanes and coaching areas to record activity for coaching, performance analysis and customer feedback. Where appropriate, footage may therefore be used for both security and performance-analysis purposes.

Customers and visitors will be informed where video recording is in operation. Recordings will be stored securely and retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were recorded.

Video or photographs will not be used for marketing or promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Commercial photography or filming by customers or third parties requires prior permission from Norwich Cricket Centre

Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas.

Norwich Cricket Centre does not accept responsibility for loss of or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked on the premises, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Hirers are responsible for familiarising themselves with the Centre’s fire procedures and for ensuring that participants and spectators in their group are aware of relevant escape routes, exits and assembly points.

Hirers should obtain any necessary fire safety information from Norwich Cricket Centre staff before using the facilities.

Animals are not permitted within Norwich Cricket Centre premises, except for assistance dogs.

Norwich Cricket Centre may dispose of unclaimed property left on the premises if it has not been collected within one month of being found.
